Let's get to it.

Music + Apocalypse Dreams

Our very first issue of Dearest Waking Dreamer explores a detailed apocalypse dream from Jess in Minneapolis.

Through her dream we'll explore and interpret:

  • Different types of people in the dream space
  • Bob Saget being kidnapped
  • 9-1-1 being down
  • A bridge collapsing beneath Jess
  • An apocalypse with burning cars and falling buildings

Additionally, we'll discuss a dream question from Ingrid:

"What does music in dreams mean? I’ve dreamed music that has been classical, artists that I active listen to, and some songs that I don’t listen to or haven’t in a long time."

What are you waiting for? Sign up as a Founder today!

Bathrooms and Toilets | Dream Meanings

You desperately need the toilet but your bathroom is packed full of people from grade school, all the stalls are missing doors, and there’s no toilet paper to be found! You decide to try and hold it…

Suddenly, you wake up safe in your bed with a sigh of relief. Bathroom dreams can seem pretty weird but they actually have a LOT of meaning and purpose so let’s talk about ‘em!

A Confirmation of Events

This week, as my husband was leaving for work, I crawled into bed and fell back asleep. It didn't take long before I felt the familiar tingling sensations of an OBE inviting me to get up out of my body.

But this time was different.

This time my husband confirmed what I experienced!

As I rolled out of my body I heard footsteps out in the hallway. I walked through our closet wall into my son's bedroom to better view who it was without being seen myself.

But I felt confused... it was my husband who had already left for work.

I approached him and asked why he was still here. He ignored me and I realized, after several attempts at shouting and waving my arms in front of his face, that he couldn't see or hear me.

I was more intent on getting his attention than noticing what he was doing and followed him through our house. Eventually, he left again out the front door and drove away.

Weird.

I woke up about 45 minutes after he had originally left and immediately texted him to ask if he'd come back for something.

He told me he had! He'd come back for his gym clothes and confirmed that I was, apparently, sound asleep in bed while he was tiptoeing around.

I told him about my experience and how I had been trying to get his attention and laughed. Maybe next time I'll try to move an object to catch his eye! Ha!

Talk to you soon,

Meg 🐝

What I had fun doing last week: finalizing the launch of Dearest Waking Dreamer and writing the first issue!

What I enjoyed reading last week: this Longread article deep within Germany's Black Forest.

What I watched last week: Fallout, the TV show - my husband and I are rewatching the 1st season before taking on season 2.

What I found myself listening to last week: a children's sleepy time music playlist that included Pachelbel's Canon which I had forgotten was a thing. It was still as soothing as I remember.
